BREAKING NEWS: Sting to Retire

BREAKING NEWS: Sting has not wrestled since suffering a significant spinal injury in his September Night of Champions match against then WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollins. Since then, there has been much speculation about the Icon hanging up his wrestling boots for good; but, that is all it was: mere speculation. It has now been confirmed that Sting is permanently retiring from professional wrestling. Sting met with several doctors who all extensively evaluated his spinal stenosis, the same condition that cost Edge his pro wrestling career. Each of the doctors came away with the same conclusion: it would be too risky for the 56 year old Hall of Famer to return to the squared circle. Sting wrestled three matches during his WWE tenure, defeating Big Show and losing to both Triple H and Seth Rollins. Sting is a 19-time World Champion.
