NEWS: It's been nearly one year since the WWE Universe last saw the Demon King. Finn Balor brought out his dark persona to help him defeat Seth Rollins and become WWE's very first Universal Champion at last year's SummerSlam. The character did help him capture the Universal Championship; but, due to a shoulder injury suffered in his match against Rollins, Balor was forced to vacate the Title the very next night on RAW. Since then the Demon King has yet to appear on WWE television and Finn Balor has failed to live up to the high expectations he once earned from WWE's fans and WWE's front office. There is now confirmation that the Demon King will be returning to the very event he last appeared: SummerSlam. Balor will bring out his old character in his bout against Bray Wyatt. The bout will be billed as two supernatural forced colliding: The Face of Fear vs The Demon King. WWE hopes the return of the Demon King will bring back some of Balor's old mojo. WWE also believes there is huge marketing potential in the Demon King character; however, are careful not to overexpose the Demon King and tire audiences. They will reserve the character for special events like this year's SummerSlam.
