NEWS: Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega in Heated Twitter Exchange

NEWS: Two of Winnipeg's finest wrestlers were recently involved in a heated Twitter exchange over the weekend and the whole shebang was started by an Internet wrestling fan by the name of Canadian Geoff (yep, Canadian Geoff). Canadian Geoff tweeted the following and tagged both Omega and Jericho:

The tweet apparently set former WWE Superstar Chris Jericho off because only a few hours later Jericho responded with:

Jericho's tweet elicited the following response from Omega, who was apparently disappointed with his boyhood hero:

As more fans chimed into the debate, Jericho continued to go off, calling out indie wrestling fans and blocking people one by one:

Chris Jericho does have a legitimate point. It's a bit disingenuous to call yourself the best wrestler in the world when you haven't wrestled on the world's largest stage for the world's biggest and best wrestling company. No one knows who baseball player Frank Shellenback is; but, as a pitcher, he won more than 300 games...in the minor leagues. Kenny Omega shouldn't feel too bad; however, Jericho's tweets are likely getting him over to an audience that has never had the privilege of watching an Omega match and that's only further lining Omega's pockets. Chris Jericho proves that even at 46 years of age he still knows how to draw heat and can still get other wrestlers over.
