Vader, a former linebacker for the Los Angeles Rams, had suffered from heart ailments and recently underwent open heart surgery. Doctors had previously alerted him that his time was short. The former WCW World Champion had been struggling with pneumonia for the past month and never recovered. White's family announced via Twitter that he passed away at Monday night at approximately 7:25PM.

Vader will likely most be remembered for his classic WCW bouts against Ric Flair and Mick Foley, as well as his dominance in Japan. He also appeared on the hit 90s show Boy Meets World. There was a push to induct Vader into the WWE Hall of Fame; however, as too often happens, the late legend never lived to see his own enshrinement.
