Buford's interview appears in its entirety below:
What are your thoughts on potentially facing Melina at Evolution?
Beyond excited! I’ve had dreams about it …She wins in every dream!
Melina was recently interviewed by “Ring The Belle,” and she stated that your eagerness, you’re wanting to work and being a good person, and your creatives would allow you both to have a great match. When you hear that from someone as decorated as Melina what does that mean to you?
Life moves so fast I never stop to pat myself on the back, so it’s very uplifting to hear those words from someone I admire so much.
How do you prepare for her since you haven’t faced her before?
I feel like I can’t really her style is so unique…All I can do is stretch really good and hope my splits are better than hers.
There are rumors that WWE will be implementing Women’s Tag Team Champions at Evolution. What are your thoughts on it if the rumors are true?
I’m so ready for it, tag teaming is so exciting, and It’ll be great for the division because it will give us another championship to fight for which we need. Being married to a tag team specialist and in my opinion one of the best to ever do it I will have all the coaching and guidance I need to be the first to hold those titles.
If you can pick a tag team partner on Smackdown or Raw who would they be and why?
Asuka! We have a lot in common surprising, and she’s just badass inside that ring point blank period. There are no holes in her game. If there’s anyone I could learn from grow with and dominate with it’s her.
What was it like battling and winning the first ever Women’s Battle Royal at Wrestlemania?
It’s hard to put in words all the feels and emotions. It felt like I won the lottery lol. My name is now cemented in WWE history! Years from now when I’m long gone, and there’s many more Women’s Wrestlemania Battle Royals people will remember the first and think of me. It’s all very special to me.
If you could have one more match with Paige what would it be and why?
Gosh! I had such great chemistry with Paige, and I really miss her in the ring. Honestly any match any stipulation would be cool. Stepping in the ring once again with such a great competitor and have her “SCREAM” once more would be one in the books for me.
Can you talk about Ronda Rousey progression thus far since she made her debut at Wrestlemania?
She’s a natural. She’s accomplished so much, for women as well and is still breaking down barriers! Nothing but respect for Ronda.
Earlier this year you talked about working with Charlotte Flair in a non-tag team storyline. What type of storyline would want to be featured in with her?
Any storyline that would allow us to compete against each other. She’s one of the best athletes I’ve ever seen and is someone who would elevate and bring out the best in me as a competitor. She’s truly a “QUEEN.”
Is there any new music that we can expect from you heading into next year from you?
Yes! I can’t wait to give fans another bop.
If you were to participate in MTV’s Safe Word which WWE Women’s division Superstar would you like to play against and why?
My good friend Lana. We’re always competing with each other about everything. She is very competitive and does not back down. I love her!
Lana, Carmella, Charlotte and yourself have all showcased your dance moves on Smackdown. Have you thought about possibly asking for more dance session in the show and would ever consider doing “Dancing with the Stars?”
I’m always down for a good dance segment on the show it’s always fun and entertaining. Being on Dancing with the Stars is a dream of mine. I think it would be a good challenge because although I have a dance background, I have no experience in ballroom dancing. I would also like to see if I could do as good if not better than my girl Nikki Bella.
