NEWS:
Rusev was today's guest on the Chasing Glory with Lilian Garcia podcast. The WWE Superstar opened up about the company's handling of the U.S. Championship and recently dropping the title to Shinsuke Nakamura,
"It meant a lot because it was the first championship I ever won. One thing, it kind of hurts me, because nobody cares about it. It feels like I'm the only one that cares about the title. I wanted to make it bigger. I wanted to make it what it was when we wrestled John Cena for it, but it seems like anytime anybody else has it, nothing happens."
The Bulgarian Brute doesn't seem too confident about his future or the future of the United States Championship, "Now that I've lost it, the title is probably gonna get lost again and I'm probably gonna get lost to."
Rusev is also confounded by management's decision to break up he and Aiden English,
"Management had different visions and we fought and fought. If it ain't broke, there's nothing to fix."The former U.S. Champion revealed whether he believes he and English would ever reunite,
"We're way past than now. He's an announcer at 205 Live now. I am whatever we are and we've got to move on."
Rusev also expressed frustrations with how he is currently being handled in WWE,
"The more you hang around, you're forgotten. It doesn't matter how good you are. I think I'm good. I always thought I was good. It doesn't matter what I do. It kind of ends up with the same thing.....I am doing everything I can."
He described pitching ideas to Vince McMahon, but his efforts have been fruitless. Rusev describes his current situation in WWE as 'frustrating.'
He continues,
"I do want to be at my best. I want to be WWE Champion. I want to be on top. I don't want to be forgotten, but that's what irks me. I do all these things and nothing changes and that's where the frustration comes, 'What am I supposed to do?'"
