NEWS: It's been nearly three years since WWE parted ways with the Immortal One, Hulk Hogan. In a wave of controversy that took the wrestling world by storm, Hogan was released by the company after making racist remarks while unknowingly being filmed for a sex tape. The WWE may finally be ready to let bygones be bygones and allow one of the most accomplished and well known wrestlers in history back in the family. According to sources within the WWE front office, there have been talks between the WWE and Hogan regarding a return in time for the WWE Hall of Fame to induct long-time Hogan friend and associate Hillbilly Jim. While Hulk Hogan does want to return, he has long advocated having one more match and that was a deal breaker in the past, as the company has long felt that he is too old and injury prone to get back in the ring. With the upcoming Greatest Royal Rumble; however, that could change as the WWE needs legends to compete in a limited capacity before a wrestling rabid Indian crowd. In other related news, Hogan will be appearing at the upcoming premier of WWE & HBO's Andre the Giant documentary, in what will be his first appearance with the company since being fired in 2015. The WWE recently released the following statement on Hogan,
"We have had discussions with Terry Bollea (aka Hulk Hogan) about how he can help others learn from his mistakes; however, he is not under any contract with WWE."Pay attention to the present tense there in "is not." In WWE speak, "is not" does not mean "will not" and "will not" is where the company has been for the past three years. It certainly looks as if Hulkamania will live again in a WWE ring.
