HOUR ONE
- Shane McMahon makes his way to the ring; but, is interrupted by Dean Ambrose. McMahon is incensed over Ambrose's SHIELD reunion at Survivor Series and what he considers a betrayal to team SmackDown. Ambrose wants to focus on the positive and calls, "Team SmackDowns MVP" to the ring. James Ellsworth makes his way down the ramp. McMahon announces that Ellsworth will be getting a contract to become a full time SmackDown wrestler. Ambrose is given the night off and told to go home. As Ambrose leaves, A.J. Styles makes his way to the ring and is adamant that Ellsworth does not deserve a contract. Styles challenges Ellsworth to a ladder match, with the contract suspended above the ladder. If Ellsworth can win the ladder match, then he will prove himself worthy of a SmackDown deal. Ellsworth accepts with the caveat that if he wins, he gets a future World Title shot.
- Daniel Bryan interrupts a backstage photo shoot between the Miz and Maryse to let the Miz know that he will defend his Intercontinental Championship tonight against Kalisto.
- The Miz defeats Kalisto via pinfall (interference by Baron Corbin). Postmatch: Baron Corbin gives Kalisto the End of Days. Dolph Ziggler Superkicks the Miz.
- Alexa Bliss talks to Shane McMahon backstage about her desire for a SmackDown Womans Championship match. She is interrupted by Becky Lynch, who will give her an opportunity at the upcoming TLC PPV. They are both interrupted by Natalya, who blames Becky Lynch for Team SmackDown's loss at Survivor Series. Shane announces that Becky will square off against Natalya later tonight.
HOUR TWO
- Tag Team Turmoil for the #1 Contenders Position and a match against Slater & Rhyno at TLC:
> The Hype Bros eliminate the Ascension
> Breezango eliminate the Hype Bros
> American Alpha eliminate Breezango
> American Alpha eliminate the Vaudevillains
> American Alpha eliminate the Usos
Postmatch: as the Turmoil apparently ends, the Wyatts appear on the monitor challenging American Alpha next week.
- Bryan and Ellsworth discuss Ellsworth's match backstage.
- Becky Lynch defeats Natalya via submission (Alex Bliss is on commentary). Postmatch: Alexa attacks Becky
- The Miz is backstage asking Daniel Bryan to suspend Ziggler. Instead Bryan is giving Ziggler an Intercontinental Championship match against the Miz at TLC.
- Carmella is confronted by Nikki Bella backstage. She accuses Carmella of taking her out before the Survivor Series match. Carmella vehemently denies taking Nikki out. There will be a No DQ Match between the two at TLC.
- Ladder Match: James Ellsworth defeats A.J. Styles (interference by Dean Ambrose)
