HOUR ONE
- Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan are in the ring re-capping what is on the docket for tonight's special 900th edition of WWE SmackDown
- The Miz (with Maryse) pinned Dolph Ziggler to become the new WWE Intercontinental Champion
- Alexa Bliss is backstage protesting her WWE SmackDown Womens Championship loss to Becky Lynch. Daniel Bryan gives her a rematch sometime after Survivor Series. The two are interrupted by Natalya who fails to inspire Alexa by quoting Chumbawumba lyrics.
- Kalisto defeated Oney Lorgan via pinfall
- SmackDown Tag Team teams are backstage when King Booker makes an appearance in full regalia. He attempts to motivate the teams; but, is interrupted by Breezango, who are acting as fashion police.
HOUR TWO
- Carmella defeats Nikki Bella by DQ after interference by Charlotte. Postmatch: Nikki attacks Charlotte; but, Team RAW (women) make their way to the ring and start beating Nikki to the ground. Carmella tries to make the save; but, fails. Team SmackDown (women) make their way out to make the save. They are successful and stand alone in the ring.
- American Alpha, the Hype Bros, Breezango, and The Usos (with Curtis Axel and Rhyno) defeat the Spirit Squad, the Ascension, the Headbangers, and the Vaudevillains via pinfall
- WWE Hall of Famer Edge makes his way to the ring for a Cutting Edge segment with Team SmackDown (males). Edge has high praise for James Elsworth and shakes his hand. This draws A.J. Styles ire. Edge calls out Randy Orton as Bray Wyatt's puppet. Dean Ambrose wants a piece of A.J. Styles after Survivor Series and just before everything explodes, the Undertaker's music hits. Undertaker makes his way to the ring and stares face to face at Shane McMahon. Undertaker states, "There is no better man to be Commissioner of SmackDown than the man who has no fear." The crowd cheers and starts a Shane-0-Mac chant. Undertaker states, "I'm back taking souls and digging holes," to wild applause. He states that he has returned for 2 reasons:
1. "Survivor Series is where I was born and SmackDown is my home."
2. "If you fail, you will have reason to fear the Dead Man. Team RAW better Rest in Peace."
SmackDown 900 ends with Undertaker making his cut throat gesture.
