NEWS: WWE Hall of Famer George "the Animal" Steele Dies at 70

NEWS: WWE Hall of Famer George "the Animal" Steele is dead at the age of 79. Jim Myers, who also moonlighted as a high school history teacher, passed away in hospice care after battling a long illness. Steele debuted in 1967; but, was best known for his plush pet Mine, his green stained tongue, his hairy physique, his romantic infatuation with Miss Elizabeth, and his feud with fellow WWE Hall of Famer, "Macho Man" Randy Savage. Steele was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 1995; but, made appearances on the indy circuit well into the 2000s. Steele also saw success as a Hollywood actor, along-side Johnny Depp in the cult Tim Burton Classic Ed Wood. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Myers family.
