NEWS: John Cena just bought the lavishly expensive 2017 Ford GT and then got himself in some hot water. The car is exceptionally rare and difficult to attain. There is a waiting list of thousands of the world's richest and elite, who make their way on the list for the opportunity to spend nearly half a million dollars on what is being termed as a super car. One of those celebrities was John Cena, who allegedly used his celebrity status to move his way up the list. Cena purchased the Ford GT and, in turn, immediately sold it for a huge profit, drawing the ire of Ford. The company is now suing Cena, filing a law suit in a U.S. District Court in Michigan, contending that John Cena was selected from thousands of applicants and contractually obligated to keep the vehicle for two years. Ford's lawsuit states,
"Mr. Cena has unfairly made a large profit from the unauthorized resale flip of the vehicle, and Ford has suffered additional damages and losses, including, but not limited to, loss of brand value, ambassador activity, and customer goodwill due to the improper sale."Ford is asking Cena to hand over any profit he made from the sale and requesting additional monetary damages as well. Interestingly enough, Ford's lawsuit also contends that Cena, one of the highest paid Superstars in wrestling history, sold the car and other properties in order to pay bills.
