NEWS: Sasha Banks and Alexa Bliss have made history. The two female Superstars became the very first women to ever wrestle in the UAE when they squared off in Abu Dabhi. The event marks a huge stepping stone in the movement for female equality in the Middle East. In years past, WWE women simply did not wrestle UAE events; but, as has often been done by this generation of female Superstars, monumental changes are being made. An emotional Sasha Banks took to Twitter to comment on the historical occasion:

The sheer magnitude of the event wasn't lost on WWE CEO, Vince McMahon, who tweeted the following:
.@WWE is all about making moments in time…last night in #WWEAbuDhabi, @SashaBanksWWE and @AlexaBliss_WWE did just that. Congratulations to you both. pic.twitter.com/iojDF7fmT6— Vince McMahon (@VinceMcMahon) December 8, 2017
The WWE will continue to toward the Middle East and Asia through the remainder of the weekend before returning home to the United States in time for Monday's RAW.
