- SmackDown GM, Daniel Bryan, makes his way to the ring to address the Dolph Ziggler situation. He tells the WWE Universe that it is time to move forward and announces a United States Title tournament beginning tonight on SmackDown LIVE. Bryan is interrupted by Chad Gable & Shelton Benjamin, who want a championship match against the Usos. They are then interrupted by Rusev & Aiden English, as well as New Day, who also believe they are due championship matches. Bryan announces that all three teams will meet in a Triple Threat Match to determine the new #1 contender to the Usos SmackDown Tag Team Championship.

- #1 Contender's Triple Threat Match: Chad Gable & Shelton Benjamin defeat New Day and Aiden English & Rusev (Gable pins Big E) *The Usos on commentary

- Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan discuss backstage and McMahon admits to taking exception to Daniel Bryan comparing him to Vince last week. Shane also questions Daniel Bryan's decision making in both the United States Championship Tournament and tonight's main event (Kevin Owens vs A.J. Styles). The two debate the merits of such decision making as the segment airs in a stare down.

- The Bludgeon Brothers defeats Breezango via DQ after the Ascension interfere

- The Ascension nominate their best friends, Breezango, to face the Bludgeon Brothers next week on SmackDown LIVE

- Ruby Riott (with the Riott Squad) defeats Naomi via pinfall. Postmatch: The Riott Squad attack Naomi; but, are interrupted by Charlotte Flair, who comes to the ring to make the save; but, succumbs to the 3 on 1 advantage enjoyed by the Riott Squad. Then Natalya makes her way to the ring along with Lana, Tamina, and Carmella; however, outnumbered, the Riott Squad retreats. The women follow the squad as they make their exit and a brief melee ensues.

- United States Championship Tournament Match: Bobby Roode defeats Baron Corbin via pinfall

- United States Championship Tournament Match: Jinder Mahal (with the Singh Brothers) defeats Tye Dillinger via pinfall

- Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn are backstage with a bottle of champagne they promise to open after Kevin Owens defeats A.J. Styles tonight

- Renee Young interviews Randy Orton

- Kevin Owens (with Sami Zayn) defeats A.J. Styles via pinfall
