Pro Wrestling Illustrated has been recognized as the sport’s number one magazine since its inception in 1979. Founded by legendary publisher Stanley Weston, Pro Wrestling Illustrated set out on a course to alter the landscape of pro wrestling journalism.

NEWS: Brock Lesnar made his long anticipated UFC return at the conclusion of last night's Daniel Cormier vs Stipe Miocic fight. Cormier left that bout as the UFC Heavyweight Champion; however, was nearly immediately confronted by Lesnar, who shoved Cormier. Cormier replied,

"Push me now and you're going to sleep later. Your days are in the past. In the stone age."

UFC President Dana White announced that Cormier's next fight will indeed by a championship bout against Lesnar. Lesnar's last UFC fight was a victorious one, as he defeated Mark Hunt at UFC 200 back in July 2016. The victory; however, was bittersweet as Lesnar was found to be in violation of the UFC's substance policy. Lesnar was suspended from the sport for a year and officially retired six months into his suspension, meaning he technically has another six months to serve. According to Dana White, Lesnar entered into the USADA testing pool last week, which would put his first official UFC bout at sometime in January; but, according to Bleacher Report senior writer Jeremy Botter that bout will take place much sooner in November:

The WWE have since issued a statement about Lesnar's UFC return:

We don’t know who the next challenger for Brock Lesnar’s Universal Championship will be, but we do know his upcoming opponent — UFC Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier.

Cameras caught Lesnar cageside for the main event of UFC 226 between UFC Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic and challenger Daniel Cormier.

After Cormier knocked Miocic out in the first round to become both the UFC Light Heavyweight Champion and UFC Heavyweight Champion, he called out Lesnar and invited him into the octagon. Brock immediately shoved the new champ across the cage before delivering a profanity-laden tirade on the microphone.

Later in the night, during the post-show press conference, UFC President Dana White confirmed that Cormier vs. Lesnar would be happening in the future. He added that no date had been set.
Speculation has run rampant over Lesnar’s future for much of this year, starting with Lesnar posing for photos next to White on the night of WWE Elimination Chamber 2018. Lesnar last competed in UFC in July 2016.

Weeks ago, Lesnar’s advocate Paul Heyman revealed that The Beast’s next Universal Title defense was facing contractual issues due to a lack of confidence in WWE to find a suitable challenger. Lesnar last appeared on WWE TV at the Greatest Royal Rumble on April 27, where he retained the Universal Championship against Roman Reigns.
