NEWS: Wade Barrett Leaving WWE

NEWS: Former WWE Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett has informed the WWE that he will be leaving the company, once his contract expires in just a few months. Apparently Barrett no longer enjoys his role with the company and is moving on to what he hopes are greener pastures. Barrett began his current WWE run in 2007 and made his television debut in 2010, for NXT's premiere season. Barrett has received numerous pushes during his WWE tenure; but, was often unable to stay healthy to reap any of their benefits. There is no word whether Barrett intends on continuing to wrestle or pursue an acting career full-time ala fellow WWE alums, Duane "the Rock" Johnson and Dave Bautista (Batista). Barrett previously acted in the 2013 film, Dead Man Down. Barrett will have a starring role in the yet to be released film, Eliminators.
