NEWS: Why Charlotte Dropped the Women's Championship

NEWS: Former WWE Women's Champion Charlotte dropped her Title on this past Monday's episode of RAW. While Sasha Banks' new reign was hyped as a "changing of the guard," and as the "first new champion of the new era," the reason for the switch may have been slightly less dramatic. According to sources, Charlotte is physically and mentally worn out and requested time off from the Company. Sasha Banks may have still ended up being the WWE Women's Champion; but, original plans had her winning the Title at SummerSlam, in lieu of last Monday's RAW. There is no word on exactly when Charlotte will be taking time off; but, rumors have her getting her respite sometime after next month's SummerSlam PPV.
