NEWS: Lio Rush Receives Backlash After Insensitive Emma Tweet

NEWS: NXT Superstar, Lio Rush, set off a social media firestorm when he posted the now deleted Tweet. Rush, in response to fellow WWE Superstar Emma's firing tweeted, "I guess these are the things that happen when you’re not TRULY ready for @WWEAsuka." The following photo is a screen shot of the now deleted tweet:

Rush has received immediate and numerous criticism from fans who were incensed over what they believe is an apparent lack of sensitivity from Rush. No critics have been as vociferous as Rush's fellow wrestlers. Bray Wyatt tweeted:

You aint gonna make it here with the wolves, kid.

This was followed by fellow NXT Superstar, Peyton Royce, who publicly questioned Rush's professionalism:

Former WWE Superstar Eva Mendes also chimed in:

To be fair to Lio, he did issue an apology with the following tweet:

Like many in the WWE Universe, fellow NXT Superstar Jack Gallagher, found the apology hollow and even questioned Rush's grammatical prowess:

What's next for Lio Rush? The Superstar has a lot to learn, especially on a weekend which saw three fellow Superstars lose their jobs with the company. Rush, like everyone else on the roster, is expendable and future lapses in judgment just might find the NXT Superstar in the same position as Emma, on the outside looking in. The promising young Superstar has a long way to go in earning back the trust of his own locker room and he will be given the opportunity to prove himself.
