FINAL CARD & PREDICTIONS:

11/19/17
WWE Survivor Series
Houston, Texas

SmackDown Tag Champions The Usos vs RAW Tag Champions Sheamus & Cesaro
Sheamus & Cesaro were put together by then GM, Mick Foley, after a long feud that included a best of 7 series. At the time, the two seemed like they were an odd fit for a tag team with almost opposing personalities, looks, and styles. Now, after winning the WWE RAW Tag Team Championships three times, it's hard to imagine them ever being singles wrestlers again. Their list of conquered opponents include legendary tag teams like The New Day, The Hardy Boyz, and The SHIELD. Still, despite improvements with coordinating their ring entrances and solidifying themselves as a tag team, the duo has a difficult task in defeating the Usos. The Usos are the most dominant tag team in the WWE, actual twin brothers who once shared the same womb. Camaraderie isn't something the Usos have ever had to learn or improve. It comes natural to them. It's in their blood. Look for the Usos to use twin magic (sorry Bellas) to their advantage and gain a clear decisive pinfall victory against the RAW Tag Team champions, a victory which will clearly establish the brothers as the best tag team in the world of professional wrestling.
Winner: The Usos via pinfall

Intercontinental Champion The Miz vs United States Champion Baron Corbin
Of all the matches this evening none come with as little fanfare as Baron Corbin vs The Miz and what a shame too, as it damages the legitimacy of both Titles. This is despite the fact that the two have feuded over social media when Corbin was somewhat loose lipped about Maryse, the Miz' pregnant wife. Not getting a match over seems to be a component of Corbin's career, rather than an exception. This is despite getting major pushes from the WWE including this United States Championship run and a victory in the Money in the Bank ladder match last summer. The WWE is enamored with Corbin's look, his seven foot frame and NFL caliber athletic ability. The Miz, a former reality television star and one of the best wrestlers on the stick, usually has no trouble getting a match over; but, this one is an exception. Corbin is simply uninteresting. There is nothing there to work with and when the Miz points that out (the only thing that sticks out about the seven footer) he ends up burying his opponent and the match itself. Regardless, look for the match to end with a disappointing lack of fanfare.
WINNER: Draw via double countout

RAW Women's Champion Alexa Bliss vs SmackDown Women's Champion Charlotte
The two greatest female wrestlers in the WWE could not have had a less similar path to stardom. Charlotte was born for this, the daughter of two-time WWE Hall of Famer, Ric Flair. With Flair blood in her vains and the athletic prowess to match, she could have pursued any sport. After the untimely death of her brother Reid, she chose wrestling and the rest is history. Almost immediately standing out from her peers, Charlotte was always predicted as the future of the sport. She has succeeded on every level. Although she is billed as Five Feet of Fury, it would be a stretch to say that Bliss is even five feet tall. In NXT she was dwarfed not only in size; but, in ability by Becky Lynch, Bayley, Charlotte, and Sasha Banks. Seen as more of a valet than a wrestler, Bliss was one of the few women to receive a call up to the main roster while never achieving championship gold. Her singles success thereafter was seen as surprising; but, she capitalized on every opportunity and is now very clearly one of the best wrestlers on the roster, on her way to a Hall of Fame career. If this match suffers from anything, it's a lack of build, especially with Charlotte only winning the SmackDown championship on this past Tuesday's edition of SmackDown LIVE. What the match lacks in build, it will make up for in sheer quality. Look for a back and forth WrestleMania caliber show stealer here as the two women will seek to live up to their hype. In the end, Charlotte is simply too big, too fast, and too strong for Little Miss Bliss. Look for Charlotte to use her length to wrap Bliss in the Figure Eight for the submission victory.
WINNER: Charlotte via submission

Team RAW vs SmackDown Women's 5 on 5 Match
Team SmackDown consists of Becky Lynch, Naomi, Carmella, Tamina, and Natalya. Team RAW consists of Alicia Fox, Bayley, Sasha Banks, Nia Jax, and Asuka. Team RAW is a virtual who's who of women's wrestling featuring former champions Bayley and Sasha Banks, along with world beaters like Asuka and Nia Jax. Their obvious weak link is their captain Alicia Fox, who hasn't seen much singles success in recent years; but, she's insane and perhaps crazy like a fox, with the dominant team she's compiled. Team SmackDown features the unproven Tamina along with the impish Money in the Bank winner Carmella. The duo teams with former champions Becky Lynch, Naomi, and Natalya. Look for an exciting back and forth match; but, the WWE won't miss the opportunity to build toward Royal Rumble feuds. Don't expect Asuka and Nia Jax to get along too well as the two are destined to face off in the very near future. Asuka will get tired of Nia's braggadocious behavior and will cost her the opportunity to survive in this match. Also don't expect the rest of the team to endure Fox's leadership: look for her to lose early, as well when her team turns their back on her. This leaves Asuka, Bayley, and Sasha against the five women of SmackDown and they are more than talented enough to overcome those odds, even when outnumbered.
WINNERS: Team RAW
Survivors: Asuka, Bayley, and Sasha Banks

The SHIELD vs The New Day
With a Triple Power Bomb heard around the world, the SHIELD debuted at Survior Series; but, disbanded when Seth Rollins betrayed his former team to join alliances with Triple H and the Authority. After a three year hiatus, old wounds mended and broken hearts began to beat once again. While the SHIELD were set to reunite at last month's TLC pay-per-view, a case of mumps prevented that. Instead, Kurt Angle replaced Roman Reigns for what was his first WWE match in more than a decade, a successful effort against five men, including the behemoth Braun Strowman. Instead of the TLC reunion, fans were treated to an official SHIELD match last week on RAW, where the three future WWE Hall of Famers easily handled the Miz, Sheamus, and Cesaro. Tonight the SHIELD face another trio of future WWE Hall of Famers, The New Day. While The New Day hold the record for longest consecutive streak as WWE Tag Team Champions, even such an impressive accomplishment fails in comparison to the sheer dominance of the SHIELD. While New Day has its share of tag team dominance, the SHIELD dominated the WWE in a way never seen since the era of the NWO. The group sculpted the WWE as they saw fit, carving a Company to match their view of justice. No one was safe from the SHIELD and now no one IS safe from the SHIELD, not even the New Day. In most six man matches, the experienced New Day would be the overwhelming favorite; but, not tonight, not against the Hounds of Justice. The Unicorns will make a match of things, certainly. Big E can match Roman Reigns' power; but, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods are weak links in comparison to former world champions, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins. Look for the SHIELD to gain a decisive pinfall victory. Look for Big E to be Triple Power Bombed through a table, as the SHIELD will leave this Survivor Series much the way it started for them.
WINNERS: The SHIELD via pinfall

WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar vs WWE Champion A.J. Styles
This could be a match of the year candidate or even a candidate for the greatest match of all time. These two are clearly talented to perform such a feat and pull off a match worthy of this one's hype. The last time A.J. Styles faced a RAW opponent, he partook in a five star bout against Finn Balor. While the match was an overall even affair, Balor ultimately gained victory over his Bullet Club compadre. That was 200 pound Finn Balor, not the 300 pound Beast Brock Lesnar. A.J. Styles has earned the reputation of being one of the world's greatest wrestlers; but, Styles, who has been in the business for decades, has never faced the likes of Brock Lesnar. Look for the match to live up to all of its hype and look for Styles to bring out the very best in the Beast, as Styles could have a great match with a broom. Ultimately, the Beast is the most superior force in wrestling and he will prove too much for even Styles to bear. Lesnar will gain the pinfall victory. We just hope the WWE comprehends the magnitude of a match that will likely only happen once in a life time. To clarify: keep Jinder Mahal away from this match!
WINNER: Brock Lesnar via pinfall

Team RAW vs Team SmackDown 5 on 5 Match
Kurt Angle, Triple H, Samoa Joe, Finn Balor, and Braun Strowman may be the greatest five man team ever assembled. With two obvious future WWE Hall of Famers in Triple H and Kurt Angle, as well as three likely future WWE Hall of Famers in Strowman, Balor, and Samoa Joe, there isn't a weak link on the team. Strowman and Samoa Joe alone would be a formidable duo against most five man teams in wrestling; however, Team SmackDown are no slouches themselves. The team consists of Bobby Roode, Randy Orton, Shane McMahon, Shinsuke Nakamura, and John Cena. Don't expect WWE to miss out on future builds with either of these 5 on 5 matches, especially this one. Cena was expected to feud against Samoa Joe when he returned to the RAW brand several months ago; but, was pushed into a Roman Reigns match instead. Look for these two to focus on one another and take each other out of this match, as the two will feud heading into Royal Rumble season. The same goes with Randy Orton and Bobby Roode. Look for Orton to mistakenly cost Roode in this match and, in turn, don't look for Roode to go quietly, as he transitions a stale character into the heel character that was a force to be reckoned with in NXT. This leaves Shinsuke Nakamura and Shane McMahon for Team SmackDown. Shinsuke is a phenomenal worker and capable of beating bigger men, even behemoths. Look for him to catch Braun Strowman off guard for a pin. Also look for Shinsuke to focus his attention on fellow former NXT Champion Finn Balor, whom he will also pin. This leaves Kurt Angle and Triple H for Team RAW against Shinsuke Nakamura and Shane McMahon for Team SmackDown. Shinsuke and Angle will meet in the ring for a one on one encounter of dreams; but, with fatigue setting in, Angle will trap Nakamura in the Angle Lock for a submission victory. This is when things get interesting. Angle will tag Triple H, who wants a piece of his brother-in-law Shane McMahon, team SmackDown's lone Survivor. McMahon and Triple H will do battle; but, none other than Jason Jordan will make his way to the ring. Why is Jordan coming to the ring? Unbeknownst to Kurt Angle, who remains in denial, Jordan always was a SmackDown plant. The referee will be knocked out in the melee and Jordan will come in attacking Triple H. Angle, shocked, will simply assume that the revenge is justified because, after all, it was Triple H who Pedigreed his "son" on the last episode of RAW. McMahon will capitalize on Jordan's interference, as the referee regains consciousness. He will then pin Triple H, leaving Angle and McMahon as the only two competitors left. Triple H focuses his attention on Jason Jordan, attacking him brutally; but, Angle stops him. Triple H, incensed, will plead with Angle to wake up and understand everything that's actually happening. "He's not your son! He's not your damn son!" Angle, enraged will slap Triple H, who having enough, Pedigrees his own partner. Shane, ever advantageous, capitalizes and pins Angle for the victory.
WINNERS: Team SmackDown
Survivor: Shane McMahon
