NEWS: Finn Balor in Vince McMahon's Doghouse

NEWS: The head of the WWE, Vince McMahon, is no fan of Finn Balor. McMahon sees Balor as stale and one dimensional. He also considers the WWE Superstar too frail and injury prone, often seen as a kiss of death from the CEO, who values machismo over all else. Balor is due to receive his Universal Championship rematch. He is the very first champion, winning the belt at SummerSlam 2016; but, was forced to vacate the Title the very next night on RAW due to a severe shoulder injury. It is worth noting that Balor suffered the injury early in his SummerSlam 2016 match against Seth Rollins; but, toughed the injury out, finishing the match as planned. Creative has been pitching a Royal Rumble match featuring Balor invoking his rematch clause against Brock Lesnar; but, McMahon is dead set against it, seeing Balor as more of a mid-card competitor (the words "enhancement talent" have also been used) than a main eventer. Balor has been told about Vince's concerns and has pressed hard to reinvent his character, even suggesting returning to his New Japan Pro Wrestling roots and reforming the Bullet Club. Vince immediately shot this down and is not a fan of the Bullet Club because it isn't an original WWE idea. This is obviously terrible news for Balor, who despite his detractions from McMahon, has become a fan favorite, even recently leading a WWE.com poll that asks, "Who should receive the next Universal Championship match against Brock Lesnar?"
