HOUR ONE
- Shane McMahon makes his way to the ring and expresses pride in the SmackDown brand, despite losing at Survivor Series. He commends the entire roster, with the exception of Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, whom he calls to the ring. The two mock Shane McMahon for losing at Survivor Series and Owens suggests that Shane McMahon begs for forgiveness for making the mistake of leaving them off the team. Owens expresses his belief in he and his teammate defeating anyone in the WWE and blames their omission from Team SmackDown for the loss at Survivor Series. Shane McMahon calls out the duo's disrespect for everyone in the WWE. He calls them delusional for how highly they think of themselves and claims the SmackDown locker room has no respect for them. McMahon calls them the most megalomaniacal self absorbed Superstars in the WWE. Before Shane is able to fire them, Daniel Bryan's music hits and he makes his way to the ring. Daniel Bryan confirms that the entire locker room hates Zayn and Owens and schedules the two in a Lumberjack Match against the New Day tonight on SmackDown LIVE. 

- Shelton Benjamin (with Chad Gable) defeats Jay Uso (with Jimmy Uso) via pinfall

- Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens are backstage talking to Baron Corbin, asking if they can count on his friendship; but, Corbin reveals that he can't stand either one of them. They move onto Bobby Roode instead; but, he reminds them of how they ruined his match and very first Survivor Series on Sunday and refuses to help. Instead he promises them both a receipt.

- Naomi is getting her makeup done when she is interrupted and beaten by Liv Morgan, Ruby Riot, and Sarah Logan. Becky Lynch attempts to help; but, finds herself on the receiving end of her own beating, which is significant enough that it requires medical attention.

- Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon discuss the Lumberjack Match backstage. Shane still wants Zayn and Owens fired and makes it known that he expects them to be at the conclusion of their match.

- The Bludgeon Brothers defeat the Hype Brothers via pinfall (Rowan pins Rawley)

- Natalya is interviewed backstage and is determined to regain the SmackDown Women's Championship and is invoking her rematch clause tonight on SmackDown LIVE.

HOUR TWO
- A.J. Styles makes his way to the ring to talk about his Survivor Series loss to Brock Lesnar. He makes a challenge to Jinder Mahal; but, Mahal refuses, saying he wrestles when he wants to. Instead the two will tangle at Clash of Champions. The Singh Brothers attempt to attack Styles; but, ultimately fail.

- Zayn and Owens continue their quest to find friends backstage and find Rusev along with Aiden English. The Canadian duo suck up to the two; but, receive no official answer as to whether they can count on their backup and loyalty.

- Natalya defeats WWE SmackDown Women's Champion Charlotte Flair via DQ *Interference by Liv Morgan, Ruby Riot, and Sarah Logan. The trio attack both Charlotte and Natalya.

- Daniel Bryan is confronted by Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens, who have apparently accepted their fate on SmackDown LIVE. The two remind him of how valuable they are and promise Bryan that firing them will be the biggest mistake he has ever made. Bryan plays it close to his vest and wishes the two luck before exiting.

- LUMBERJACK MATCH:  Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn defeat the New Day after Zayn pins Kingston. Postmatch: The New Day corner Zayn in the ring, after Kevin Owens escapes through the SmackDown LIVE audience. The trio annihilate Zayn in the ring, eventually teaming to give him the Midnight Hour, as SmackDown LIVE comes to a close. Kevin Owens is seen backstage and begs Daniel Bryan not to fire them. Owens even gets down to his knees, feigning tears. Bryan tells him that he was never going to fire them. Bryan tells him that he recognizes their talent and lets Owens know that next week he has a one on one match against Randy Orton.
