NEWS: UFC President Dana White took to his official news outlet UFC Tonight to confirm that current WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar would soon be making his UFC return. White promised, "
Yeah, Brock Lesnar’s coming back. I don’t know when, but yes he is." White does not currently know who Brock Lesnar's next opponent will be; however, what is important is that there will be one. Lesnar has not fought in the UFC since defeating Mark Hunt in controversial fashion on July 9th, 2016. Lesnar was suspended from the UFC after it was revealed that he failed testing for illegal performance enhancing substances. Lesnar's WWE contract is slated to expire after this year's SummerSlam, which takes place on Sunday August 19th. There has been speculation that Lesnar will drop the Universal Championship to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 34 and then go on to feud with the returning Bobby Lashley before making his exit from the WWE.
