NEWS: WWE Angry with the Rock

NEWS: WWE is angry with the Rock over his controversial segment last Monday on RAW and not for reasons one might think. The Rock's segment crossed well over the line for WWE's PG demographic; but, the WWE is furious over the fact that the Rock took the time to engage with several fans in the front row dressed like WWE legends; Undertaker, Hulk Hogan, and Randy Savage. The fans were distracting the performers and other fans alike with their attention seeking antics during the show. At one time the costumed fans prompted the entire arena to chant "Randy Savage," which could be heard on the live television broadcast. Eventually the powers that be at WWE had the fans moved to a different location so they wouldn't visibly appear on camera during the show. When the Rock made his way to the ring, he singled the fans out and allowed them to introduce themselves on the microphone before the live audience and the millions watching on television. WWE felt this rewarded the fans for their outlandish behavior and were incensed. Additionally, one of the fans was dressed like Hulk Hogan, whom the WWE is extremely careful not to mention or address publicly, as he is virtually blackballed from the company. Hogan has been removed from WWE's Hall of Fame and banned from the company after he made racist comments while being unknowingly filmed in a sex tape. Word backstage is that WWE was so outraged over the incident that if it occurred at the hands of anyone other than the Rock, that performer would have been fired from the company.
