NEWS: John Cena Undergoes Succesful Shoulder Surgery (GRAPHIC PHOTOS INSIDE)

NEWS: Sidelined WWE Superstar John Cena has undergone successful shoulder surgery. Recover is expected to keep Cena out of action for 6-9 months, which unfortunately means Cena will miss the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania 32. Surgery was performed by Dr. Jeffrey Dugas at the Andrews Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center in Birmingham, Alabama. Dugas stated, "He had a complete tear of a small portion of the rear rotator cuff tendon, the infraspinatus — toward the top-back of his shoulder — which I repaired. Also, there was a large piece of loose tissue in his shoulder that needed to be removed." The entire surgery took one hour to perform and fellow sidelined Superstar Cesaro accompanied Cena before and after the surgery. Now Cena will be doing intensive therapy, first starting with range of motion and then later weight bearing exercises. "The first hurdle is getting the cuts to heal and getting cartilage to form over the defect. After that, we'll get back to function," Dugas said. According to gossip backstage, Cena's injury was caused by his weight lifting which Cena does excessively, often challenging himself to break previous records. Here's hoping Cena doesn't put too much weight on that newly repaired shoulder.
