HOUR ONE
- Seth Rollins makes his way to the ring. WWE airs a Battleground picture, still showing the suspended Reigns in the Triple Threat match at Battleground. On the five year anniversary of CM Punk's Pipe Bomb (this goes entirely unspoken of throughout the show), Rollins says that he isn't supposed to talk about Reigns; but, "the hell with it." Rollins mocks Reigns' Twitter apology. He gloats over all the time he has beaten Reigns and says, "Roman, I own you." He doesn't believe Roman deserves a second chance or forgiveness and wants Roman removed from their Battleground match. He is then interrupted by Dean Ambrose, who shrugs off Roman's mistake and states that everyone makes mistakes. He goes on to say, "I was your friend. That was a mistake. You, Seth, wear skinny jeans. Also a mistake." They are then both interrupted by A.J. Styles, who suggests making the Triple Threat match a Fatal 4-Way; but, he is, in turn, interrupted by John Cean, who also wants in on the action and suggests a Fatal 5-Way. Stephanie McMahon then comes out and calls the Roman Reigns situation an embarrassment; but, states that an even bigger embarrassment is Dean Ambrosse as WWE Champion. She will give both Styles and Cena an opportunity to get into the Battleground main event. If John Cena can beat Seth Rollins, he will be in the match. If A.J. Styles can beat Dean Ambrose, he will be in the match.
- Sasha Banks & Paige defeat Charlotte & Dana Brooke after Dana submits to the Banks Statement
- Titus O'Neil defeated Rusev (with Lana) via countout
- Stephanie is backstage on her cellphone when she walks into Kane, who pleads for a chance to run SmackDown. They are interrupted by a returning Miz and Maryse, who are unhappy with the lack of fanfare his return received. Kane reminds Stephanie that according to the WWE rulebook, Miz is due to defend his Intercontinental Championship and she concurs. Miz will defend his championship against a mystery opponent tonight on RAW.
HOUR TWO
- Seth Rollins defeated John Cena via pinfall after interference from the Club
- Enzo and Big Cass are victorious in a squash match. Postmatch: They are interrupted by the Social Outcasts (sans Adam Rose); but, as they rush the ring, Enzo and Cass make quick work of them.
- Bob Backlund/Darren Young vignette
- WWE (with Big Show) promote the Special Olympics
- Summer Rae vs Becky Lynch never gets underway because Becky attacks Natalya, who is on commentary. The two brawl, stopping the match.
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston is seen in the audience
HOUR THREE
- Chris Jericho is in the ring for the Highlight Reel. His guests are the feuding Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. Zayn wants to put an end to their costly feud, once and for all. Zayn calls Owens a coward. Owens said that his backstabbing was only business and believes that Zayn was jealous of him when he became NXT Champion. The two will face off at Battleground. As Jericho promotes himself and gloats, the two double kick Jericho to the face and make their exit out of the ring.
- Demon Kane defeats the Miz (with Maryse) via countout. Maryse appeared to twist her ankle during the match and Miz left the bout to tend to her, causing the count out. The two are later seen backstage, where Maryse admits to faking the whole thing.
- Cesaro & Apollo Crews defeat Alberto Del Rio and Sheamus after Crews pinned Sheamus
- JoJo interviews Dean Ambrose; but, they are interrupted by Stephanie McMahon, who expresses her disgust with Ambrose.
- New Day comes to the ring dressed as the Wyatts. They continue to poke fun at the Wyatts; but, are interrupted by the Wyatts, who aren't enjoying the mockery. As Wyatt speaks, it seems as though he has Xavier Woods' ear. Wyatt tells Xavier that he can trust him and confide in him.
- Dean Ambrose defeats A.J. Styles via pinfall after John Cena interferes. Postmatch: Cena is beaten by the Club while Seth Rollins (who was on commentary) attacks Ambrose.
