FINAL CARD & PREDICTIONS:

9/24/2017
WWE No Mercy
Los Angeles, CA

Bray Wyatt vs Finn Balor
These two square off in a SummerSlam rematch. The bout will be a bit different than what the WWE Universe were treated to at SummerSlam, as Finn Balor is out to prove that the man who created the demon is even more dangerous than the demon itself. Wyatt is out to prove that he is more than just a really terrifying jobber with a penchant for the macabre. No main event caliber performer loses big matches with the frequency that Bray Wyatt has and that has tainted his career and his legitimacy. That's why his loss to Balor at SummerSlam came as no big surprise: that's what Bray Wyatt does, he talks and then he loses. With Balor intent on showing the world that he is to be feared even more than the Demon, the match is wildly important to a Superstar the WWE believes has a bright future in the Company. In fact, the WWE believes in Balor's potential to such an extent that they made him the very first Universal Champion last August. That was after he won a tournament in which he defeated the likes of top Superstars like Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. Only injury derailed his run; but, since his return, Balor has been a bit stale, unable to make the impact he initially did when coming up to the main roster. Look for Balor to ride his SummerSlam victory into a hot streak and show that he doesn't need makeup of face paint to defeat any opponent, that he is even more dangerous than the Demon. If this were an old Beckett magazine, Wyatt's arrow would be pointing downward and Balor's would finally be pointing upward. Look for Balor to capitalize on his superior speed and aerial ability to get the decisive pinfall victory over Bray Wyatt.
WINNER: Finn Balor via pinfall

WWE Cruiserweight Champion Neville vs Enzo Amore
Neville has often been the lone bright spot in a Cruiserweight Division that quickly failed to live up to the Cruiserweight Classic. Since then, the cruiserweights have failed to show much character development, despite being given their own show and time on RAW. Neville has been the lone exception. Having floundered on the main roster, despite his superior athletic skills, Neville capitalized on the new division to turn heel and add some much needed depth to his character. The main difficulty the WWE has faced is that no other opponent has stepped up to match Neville's wit. Enter Enzo Amore. Amore is a polarizing figure that fans either love or hate; but, he does get a reaction and has incredible mic skills. Amore is out to prove that he is more than just a mouthpiece to his athletically superior former tag team partner, Big Cass. Since joining the Cruiserweight Division, Amore has shot to the top of the contender's list. There's only one gigantic problem. Amore has proven that he does not have what it takes in the ring. His tag matches with Big Cass were filled with him struggling to stay conscious in order to make the hot tag to Cass, who would alone finish the match strong. When given the chance to show that he is indeed in Big Cass' league, Amore failed time and time again. In fact, Cass dominated every match the two had, with Amore's only victory coming when Cass was unable to compete, due to a torn ACL. Neville, on the contrary, has devoured every cruiserweight opponent thrown at him. Look for those trends to continue in this one. It will be a positive for Amore regardless. Neville is more than capable of carrying Enzo through what will likely be the best match Amore has had up until this point. Still, Neville is superior in every possible way and with Amore's grating personality, it's doubtful the Company would ever trust him with a Title.
WINNER: Neville via submission

Intercontinental Champion The Miz vs Jason Jordan
The Miz has proven to be one of the greatest Intercontinental Champions in WWE history. Now in his 7th reign as Intercontinental Champion, the Miz is a savvy veteran who will do his best to cover all angles in this bout. Jason Jordan is the obvious up and comer, the ultra talented "son" of former gold medalist and WWE Hall of Famer, Kurt Angle. Jordan recently gave John Cena and Roman Reigns all they could handle on two recent successive episodes of RAW. Cena and Reigns are superior in-ring talents in comparison to the Miz and it is possible, even likely, that Jordan is as well. The Miz, even with his veteran savviness, has done nothing; but, underestimate Jordan since their feud began. He didn't even expect Jordan to be his opponent for No Mercy, as he hoped the Miztourage would have done their job against him when given the opportunity in a 6 Pack Challenge that Jordan won to earn this match. Will the Miz underestimate Jordan again? Even with Maryse and the Miztourage at his side, Jordan's superior athletic ability can not be ignored. He is a wrestler's wrestler capable of going to the mat with the best of them. With Jordan's backstage connections, if the Miz' posse interfere, look for them to be banned from ringside. If the Miz has another weakness, it's his pride. He believes that he is the best wrestler in the world, which will lead him into tangling with Jordan in Jordan's areas of strength, primarily mat wrestling. When that happens, Jordan will handily defeat the 7-time Intercontinental Champion to gain what will likely be the first of many titles in his young career.
WINNER and NEW Intercontinental Champion: Jason Jordan via pinfall

RAW Tag Team Champions Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose vs Sheamus & Cesaro
This will be the final match that will end the feud between these four competitors. The WWE has huge plans for Rollins and Ambrose including an eventual WrestleMania match between the two. We are months away from WrestleMania and the WWE needs to invest time in building that eventual blockbuster feud, so don't look for them to take the Titles off of Rollins and Ambrose just yet. In the meantime, their opponents will serve only as fodder to get to the point to where WWE has pre-determined to go with all of this: WrestleMania. Look for a great match between these four more than capable Superstars; but, with a long-term plan in place for Rollins and Ambrose, as well as Sheamus eventually taking time away from the ring to film his latest movie, look for the boys in the SHIELD to get the decisive victory in the match and the feud.
WINNERS: Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose via pinfall

FATAL 5-WAY MATCH
RAW Women's Champion Alexa Bliss vs Bayley vs Nia Jaxx vs Sasha Banks vs Emma
This could be titled the "Who will eventually drop the Title to Asuka?" match. The WWE has proven time and time again that they don't see much of a future for Emma, who is a fan favorite; but, a weekly jobber on RAW. Sasha Banks has proven that she doesn't do well holding a Title and is more believable as a heel than a face. Bayley has failed to get over on RAW the same way she was over on NXT. This leaves two likely victors: the current RAW Women's Champion Alexa Bliss or the behemoth, Nia Jaxx. The WWE has big plans for Jaxx in the future; but, it is unlikely that they give Jaxx her first RAW Women's Championship Title run only to quickly lose to Asuka. Plus if history tells us anything about Fatal 5-Way matches it is this: the women will team up to take the physically superior Jaxx out of the match first. Look for the RAW Women's Champion to use her craftiness to stay out of harm's way and take advantage of another ladies work to get the pinfall victory and retain her Title. Also look for her to brag about her victory on the next episode of RAW. She will claim victory over the entire women's roster at once and will lament having no worthy challengers. That's when Asuka will debut and gladly take her Title from her, ending Bliss' reign of dominance.
Winner: WWE RAW Women's Champion Alexa Bliss

John Cena vs Roman Reigns
This is a WrestleMania caliber match where the Company's top two baby-faces will square off at No Mercy. It is no secret that these two do not like each other, which has only added to the spectacular build for this match. Cena, whose very purpose in coming to the RAW brand was to square off with Reigns, has accused Reigns of being unable to carry the proverbial torch. Reigns has accused Cena of burying any competition. The jawing went so far and became so intense that it even included reference to Roman Reigns' failed drug test last summer much to the chagrin of the WWE. Thanks to these two, fans have been treated to some of the greatest unscripted moments in wrestling history over the last several weeks in RAW. Despite all the talking, the two have never even touched leaving the WWE Universe with great anticipation for this bout. When they get in the ring, the older John Cena is likely to discover rather quickly that he has finally bitten off more than he could chew. Roman Reigns is superior in the ring, a beast on par with the Lesnars and the Strowmans. Reigns is every bit in the prime of his career and very much so the man who ended the Undertaker's career. He is capable of destroying any man in the ring and shows No Mercy in doing so. John Cena, one of the greatest wrestlers in the history of the business, is a rapidly aging actor that spends more time preparing for movie roles than wrestling matches. Reigns has a hunger that Cena once had; but, has failed demonstrating in recent years. Look for a great match and a hot crowd; but, look for Reigns to send part-time Cena back to Hollywood in dominant and decisive fashion.
Winner: Roman Reigns via pinfall

WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar vs Braun Strowman
Will the ring hold up when these two behemoths collide? Braun Strowman has been nothing short of dominant since debuting in the WWE and in recent months has continued that dominance against Brock Lesnar. No one in the history of wrestling has manhandled Lesnar the way Strowman has and this will be Lesnar's toughest challenge yet; but, Roman Reigns has proven that Braun Strowman is beatable. If he has any weakness, it's his inexperience that often leads to risky decisions. Does Strowman know the importance of victory (the Universal Championship) here or does he just want to destroy Brock Lesnar? If Strowman lets his guard down at all, he will be doing so at his own peril. Brock Lesnar is every bit as dominant and dangerous as Braun Strowman. Look for Lesnar to use his veteran savviness to capitalize on Strowman's inexperience. It may take an F-5 or two or five; but, Lesnar will get the victory. The WWE has not changed its WrestleMania plans for Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns, so Strowman is being used to get the two over until then. There has also been rumblings backstage that the WWE believes they have a huge Hulk Hogan caliber star in Strowman. There has been talk of repackaging Strowman as the All American that finally defeats Jinder Mahal for the WWE Championship on the SmackDown brand.
Winner: WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar via pinfall
