NEWS: WWE Theme Park Coming Soon?
NEWS: According to sources, a WWE theme park may be in the works. The location of that park will likely be in Orlando, Florida, home of WrestleMania 33. WWE has long been contemplating a physical Hall of Fame location that would operate as both a museum and a restaurant. Now plans may also include for a WWE inspired theme park in correlation with a Hall of Fame. Forrec, a large entertainment design firm, recently released a brochure where they detailed some of their workings with the WWE,
"The WWE is especially conscious of creating authentic experiences that would live up to the high expectations of their extremely discerning fans. They were also looking for scalability so that their branded attractions could be accommodated in a variety of venues. The WWE attractions can accomodate indoor venues, as well as full-scale outdoor WWE Theme Park sites.”Forrec went on to note that they designed an Andre the Giant inspired fun house as well as a House of Horrors starring the Boogeyman and the Undertaker. Another ride called Road to WrestleMania is also mentioned; but, the brochure lacks specific details. Also planned is a rollercoaster, held up by a gigantic version of John Cena, rides that sit in the middle of wrestling rings, wrestling inspired arcade games, and a green screen for fans to re-create historical wrestling moments. There is no word as to when these plans will come to fruition; but, WrestleMania is frequently held in Orlando and NXT is located in nearby Winter Park, FL. One source within the WWE acknowledged the existence of such plans; but, could only estimate that if the theme park were to open, it would likely occur next time WrestleMania is in Orlando, which could be several years from now. WrestleMania 34 will be held in New Orleans, LA.
