HOUR ONE
- Daniel Bryan makes his way to the ring to hype tonight's women's matches (Naomi vs Lana, MITB Ladder Match). He is interrupted by Carmella, who makes her way to the ring with James Ellsworth in tow. She is incensed over what she perceives to be an act of injustice against her. She claims to have won the Money in the Bank Match (no rules, no DQ) fair and square, according to the rules. She cites other previous Money in the Bank Ladder winners as precedent. Daniel Bryan turns to the WWE Universe in San Diego and asks whether he should cancel tonight's match. Of course the crowd is dead set against that and in favor of the Women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match continuing as planned. James Ellsworth calls Daniel Bryan spineless and says that he doesn't have what it takes to make it in the ring anymore. He goes as far as accusing Daniel Bryan making up his injury. Bryan responds by banning James Ellsworth from the arena. Security comes to the ring to carry out Bryan's order.

- The Usos defeat the Hype Bros after Jimmy Uso pinned Zack Ryder. Postmatch: The New Day make their way to the entrance ramp to confront the Usos and hype their upcoming match. The two teams exchange barbs with one another and will compete in a Rap Battle next week on SmackDown LIVE.

- The Fashion Police do yet another vignette; but, this time they are questioning the Ascension. Despite being offered Eddie Money tickets, the Ascension deny ever attacking Tyler Breeze. Breezango leave the room only to find their office trashed; but, obviously not by the Ascension, whom they were with the entire time.

- SmackDown Women's Champion Naomi defeats Lana via pinfall

- Becky Lynch is interviewed backstage and believes that the fair chance she is being given tonight is all she needs to win the Money in the Bank Ladder Match

HOUR TWO
- Aiden English is in-ring for a song; but, is interrupted by Randy Orton, who proceeds to treat English to an RKO. Orton remains in-ring and refuses to leave until he gets what he wants. He promises to hunt Jinder Mahal down until he gets what he wants. As he threatens to "beat some ass" in the back, Shane McMahon makes his way to the ring. He states that he can not have Randy Orton threatening the safety of their WWE Champion. Orton says that if he is going to fire him, go ahead and do it; but, he will show up at every show. Orton is incensed over what Mahal has done to his family and wants a WWE Championship match against Mahal. McMahon states, "With all due respect, you've used those tactics yourself; but, I've never seen that look in your eyes. You have your rematch." McMahon; however, states that Jinder Mahal will chose the stipulation of their upcoming Battleground match. Jinder Mahal then makes his way to the ramp angry, believing Randy Orton doesn't deserve a rematch. None the less Mahal chooses a Punjabi Prison Match at Battleground.

- Daniel Bryan is backstage talking on the phone when he is interrupted by A.J. Styles who has his complaints against Kevin Owens' so-called open challenges. They are both interrupted by Kevin Owens who says the open challenges are for people he hasn't beaten yet. He calls Styles a loser. Bryan intervenes and schedules an Independence Day Battle Royal for next week's SmackDown, with the winner receiving a United States championship opportunity at Battleground.

- Mike and Maria Kanellis make their way down the entrance ramp for their very first SmackDown LIVE appearance. Before Maria they can make their speech, the two are interrupted by Sami Zayn who make his way to the ring to face Baron Corbin.

- Baron Corbin defeats Sami Zayn via pinfall

- Shinsuke Nakamura interviewed backstage regarding a possible match against Baron Corbin

- Carmella defeats Becky Lynch, Natalya, Tamina, and Charlotte to win the Money in the Bank Ladder Match
