BREAKING: Paige's neck injury that she recently suffered in a December 28th match against Sasha Banks is much worse than originally feared. While the WWE hoped the injury was simply a stinger, WWE doctors have confirmed that the neck injury is significant and indeed career ending. Those same doctors have informed the former 2-time WWE Divas Champion that due to the nature of her injury she will not be cleared again to compete in a WWE ring, ala Edge and Daniel Bryan. The injury will put an official end to Paige's WWE career. There are some rumblings that the WWE may allow her to have a send-off, similar to Daniel Bryan's. If such an event were to occur, it would likely be during a live RAW. The injury comes at a terrible time for Paige, as it is right before the very first WWE Women's Royal Rumble. Paige, like any woman competing in the squared circle, had high hopes of competing at the event. Paige was Cheap Heat Wrestling's 2017 Inspirational Wrestler of the Year after coming back from tumultuous personal problems and a neck injury that kept her out of action for 17 months. That same troublesome injury will now keep her out of action permanently.
