NEWS: Trophy Life is a new weekly episodic YouTube series documenting the life of professional wrestler Elliot Sexton. Sexton, an Australian transplant now living in Orlando, FL, pokes fun of his life as a trophy husband of sorts. Sexton is the significant other of recent NXT signee and Mae Young Classic competitor, Dakota Kai, and he has joined her in coming to America as she pursues her WWE dreams. Trophy Life is Sexton's comedic ode to life as Dakota's boyfriend, his balancing act of supporting her while still pursuing his own dreams of making it to the WWE. Although you may not know him by name, a quick foray into YouTube will show you that Sexton is one of the best wrestlers to ever come out of Australia. At 6'5" and 250 plus pounds of chiseled muscle, a former MCW champion loaded with athletic ability, a young age Sexton was hyped as an inevitable WWE Superstar. Trained by the legendary Col. Dervany, Sexton eventually made his way to the United States to receive additional tutelage at Booker T's school in Houston, TX. Courtesy of Gerald Brisco, who saw promise in Sexton, he even received a tryout for the WWE; but, ran into some bad luck that derailed his opportunity,
"While I'm sure every wrestler out there who has ever had a tryout thinks they were within a shot, being in my early 20's, 6"5' and being comfortable with promos as well as wrestling, I had an advantage. Unfortunately I sat out the last hour with a back injury and wasted my best opportunity of getting signed."
Sexton returned to Australia and never gave up on his dream of becoming a professional wrestler. Trophy Life is his story loaded with humor that would make even the greatest comedians take notice. In Trophy Life, Sexton shows that he has the charisma and mic skills on par with anyone in the WWE and it's only a matter of time before the company (or some other major promotion) takes notice. While he may not be a household name now, this viewer gets the sense that he one day will be. Wrestling fans who like to laugh can check out Trophy Life on YouTube or watch the first two episodes below.
