NEWS: Finn Balor Legitimately Injured
NEWS: As luck would have it, the earlier rumors about newly crowned WWE Universal Champion Finn Balor suffering a significant injury to his right shoulder are unfortunately indeed true. Balor was injured during his SummerSlam match against Seth Rollins, a bout that ended with Balor being named the first ever WWE Universal Champion. Balor was seen postmatch unable to raise the arm in question in celebration. Later it was reported that Balor was seen backstage wearing a sling. At first these were unconfirmed reports that seemed disingenuous, especially in light of Balor's appearance on this morning's episode of Good Morning America. Balor seemed unaffected by any pain and was clearly seen holding a 20 plus pound championship belt. He did not; however, exhibit much movement in his injured arm; but, he also did not mention any injury on the show. WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross confirmed Balor's injury with the following, "Reports of Balor injuring his shoulder during the title match are true and WWE will determine the extend of the injury ASAP. Hopefully, Finn won’t need surgery which would be extremely unfortunate." Sources indicate that the WWE is fearing the worst for Balor and extremely worried that he will need a surgery that will keep him out of action for an extended period of time. More will be revealed on tonight's episode of RAW.
