NEWS: A Potential Daniel Bryan Comeback in the Works

NEWS: Although it is considered a long shot, the WWE is apparently leaving the door open on the possibility of an in ring return for Daniel Bryan. This is why the Miz cut such a scathing promo recently on Talking Smack. The Miz accused Bryan of being a coward for walking away from in-ring competition, after Bryan promised he'd return within a year to reclaim the Intercontinental Championship injuries forced him to relinquish. According to sources, the WWE plans on having several wrestlers question Bryan's heart for wrestling. Over time the WWE hopes this will build up interest in Bryan's return and legitimize his return in the storyline. If Bryan makes more improvements medically over this time period, he will have a built-in angle and a built-in opponent awaiting his return. While it puts Bryan in an awkward position if he is unable to return, it puts the WWE in a great (read lucrative) position if he is cleared. Bryan discussed his health obstacles when he made his retirement announcement on the February 8, 2016 episode of RAW. Those obstacles were significant enough to include both concussions and seizures. At the time the WWE was adamant about closing the door on a Daniel Bryan return; but, feel he has made enough strides to at least get his foot in the door, where a return is now undoubtedly being discussed. When the Miz did verbally assault Bryan on Talking Smack, Bryan did comment on a possible return and said, "If they let me, I would." Those words may be the most telling of them all.
