NEWS: Finn Balor Undergoes Successful Shoulder Surgery

NEWS: Former WWE Universal Campion Finn Balor has undergone successful shoulder surgery to repair a torn labrum he suffered in his SummerSlam match against Seth Rollins. Balor suffered the injury when he found himself on the receiving end of Seth Rollins' running powerbomb off the barricade outside the ring. Ringside WWE Doctor Chris Robinson had the following to say about Balor's SummerSlam injury, 

"He hit the wall during his match, dislocated his shoulder and was able to put it back in 

himself in a split second."

Dr. Jeffrey Dugas, who performed Balor's surgery, stated the following, 

"Finn’s injury was pretty severe, more severe than normal. A really high energy injury, it did more damage than a standard shoulder dislocation where you simply tear the labrum. The prognosis is excellent, however. We were able to fix it all and put it back where it came from. I’m anticipating him getting back at full speed.”

Finn Balor is expected to be out of action for at least 6 months as he recovers from his surgery and attempts to get back into ring shape. At the very minimum that would put his return in late February 2017, or just in time to be a major player at WrestleMania 33.
