WrestleMania 32: Final Card & Predictions
WrestleMania 32
Final Card & Predictions
United States Champion Kalisto vs Ryback: The WWE has been playing up the size difference between the two and pushing the idea that Kalisto has no chance against the massive Ryback. Whenever the Company pushes an angle like that what they are really pushing is a David and Goliath story. David, if you are familiar with Christian Scripture, defeats the giant Goliath, with his wit and his faith. I expect Kalisto to keep Ryback off balance with a combination of speed and aerial maneuvers. Kalisto will use Ryback's strength against him and make Ryback look "stupid." Kalisto gets the win cleanly with a pin here; but, look for Ryback to take out his frustrations on the Luchador post-match, drawing the ire of the Dallas crowd and further solidifying Ryback's heel turn.
Team Total Divas vs Team B.A.D. & Blonde: Team Total Divas has the momentum and the star power; but, the ratings on the E! reality show Total Divas has tanked as of late. There have been numerous reports stating the WWE plans on getting rid of the term "Diva" altogether. With that stated, look for the cast members of Total Divas to get one last hurrah and defeat Team B.A.D & Blonde. This will be Brie Bella's final match with the WWE before she retires to start a family with her recently retired husband Daniel Bryan, so look for Brie to score the victory with a pinfall over her rival Lana. After the match, Brie will be celebrated by her fellow "Divas" and the Dallas, TX audience.
The Usos vs The Dudley Boyz: Both teams deserve better recognition than the pre-show; but, that's where they each ended up this year. Look for an all out brawl of a match between 4 talented veterans, who aren't happy with their spots and relish the opportunity to be a show-stealer. The Dudley Boyz, who have recently turned heel, are currently against the use of all tables; but, at the WWE Hall of Fame Red Carpet show, Bubba Dudley dropped a hint that it's WrestleMania and it might be time for the tables to make a come back. With that stated, we expect the Dudley Boyz to get the victory; but, only after the Usos put them through a table that the Dudley Boyz set up, causing the Usos to be disqualified. While the Dudley Boyz will gain the victory, this feud will most definitely continue.
Tag Team Champions the New Day vs the League of Nations: New Day has been dominating the League of Nations, since they were attacked several weeks ago on RAW by the group of foreign heels. Conventional logic would have the League of Nations responding with a big victory of their own; however, New Day is simply too hot and too over with the crowd to drop their belts to the likes of League of Nations, a group of quickly put together mercenaries who have no real long-term prospects with the Company. Look for a show stealer of a match; but, look for New Day to prevail cleanly, just in time to begin a new feud with NXT talents Enzo Amore & Big Cass, who we predict will make a move to the main roster tomorrow night on RAW.
Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal: The early favorite has to be the 500 pound behemoth Big Show, who won the event last year. There have been rumors that Cesaro will return from injury at this event. Cesaro won the inaugural Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal 2 years ago at WrestleMania 30, so if that is the case, look for Cesaro to also be a favorite. We think Cesaro will appear tomorrow night on RAW and immediately challenge for the WWE Championship. Additional rumors include new talent making their debut at this match and also the possibility of returning talent like Kurt Angle or Goldberg. We'll go with an absolute wild card here; but, our Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal winner is Hulk Hogan. Yes, you read that right: Hulk Hogan. It was Hogan who invented the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal and Hogan who announced the event to the WWE Universe, just before WrestleMania 32. There have been consistent rumors about Hogan's return to the company being a matter of when and not if, after he has won his lawsuit with Gawker. Cheap Heat Wrestling has confirmed that Hogan is in Dallas, TX right now. Hogan has wanted to make his in-ring WWE return for years and the most logical place for that to occur would be this Battle Royal where he would never have to perform his patented leg drop on a surgically reconstructed hip, nor would he ever have to go over the top rope, if he is the victor of the match.
A.J. Styles vs Chris Jericho: This feud has been built up the conventional way. Since making his debut at the Royal Rumble more than two months ago, Styles has been involved with Jericho in one way or another. They have each exchanged victories in singles matches against one another and had a short-lived run as a tag team, before Jericho viciously turned on his partner. With so much build and familiarity, look for this to be a potential show stealer. These two outstanding technical wrestlers will battle in a deeply personal back and forth affair; but, Styles, at this point, has more long-term potential with the WWE than Chris Jericho. Look for Styles to win the match and the feud, via submission.
WWE Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match: We predict that this match will open WrestleMania 32. Dolph Ziggler, Sami Zayn, the Miz, Stardust, and Zack Ryder are all fantastic competitors and should add a lot to the match; however, Kevin Owens will further solidify himself as the IC Champion by defeating the field in what should be a brutal high energy affair. Look for Owens and Zayn to square off more often than any of the other two competitors and look for Owens to win in some sort of devious fashion, taking the Title; but, continuing the feud between he and Zayn.
Divas Championship Match: Charlotte vs Becky Lynch vs Sasha Banks: This is the first time in history a women's championship match has been featured so prominently at WrestleMania. With rumors that the WWE is set to abolish the Divas Title, look for the WWE to go with new face of women's wrestling. That leaves Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks. With Bayley set to debut on the main roster soon and immediately contend for the Women's Championship, a Bayley vs Becky Lynch feud does not carry the same weight as a Bayley vs Sasha Banks feud, as the two have taken home PWI Match of the Year honors. Look for Sasha Banks to get the victory and do away with the Divas title and the term "Diva" immediately following the match, as she grabs the microphone and drops a pipe bomb of her own. Sashaw will be confronted by Bayley the following night on RAW.
Street Fight: Brock Lesnar vs Dean Ambrose: In what can potentially turn into a Match of the Year candidate, look for a brutal Death-Match style affair between these two ultra violent competitors. Dean has an entire cart filled with weapons, including a spiked bat and a chainsaw; but, Brock Lesnar is a genuine beast. Who can forget when Lesnar ripped apart a car on RAW in Chicago? Unless Ambrose is coming with a nuclear bomb, no weapons in that cart are going to be enough to defeat Lesnar, a real life Godzilla. Look for Dean to look great. Look for him to take the beating of a lifetime and get even more over with a sympathetic audience; but, in the end, Lesnar will get the victory.
WWE Championship Match: Roman Reigns vs Triple H: This match won't be on last, so getting Roman Reigns over for a huge WrestleMania moment is less of a priority than it would be had this been the true WrestleMania main event. With that said, and regardless of what the fans think, it is Roman Reigns' time and Triple H, who has already garnered a reputation for holding young talent down, will work his ass off to get Roman over. Whether the fans like it or not, Reigns wins the match and becomes a 3-Time WWE Champion. If the goal is to get Roman cheered, look for Roman to overcome a ton of outside interference and just when he seems doomed to lose, he will be assisted in victory by a re-united SHIELD.
Hell in a Cell Match: Undertaker vs Shane McMahon: The Undertaker has so much left in his tank. Physically he is in much better shape than he was a few years ago. This last year alone, the Phenom wrestled three times, rather than the single WrestleMania match the WWE Universe has grown accustomed to. It almost felt like 2016 was Undertaker's farewell tour with the WWE. Perhaps it was. Undertaker has nothing left to prove. He has money in the bank, a beautiful wife, and has had an illustrious sports entertainment career that is unparalleled in the history of the business. Why would this match take place with the stipulation that if Undertaker would lose it would be his last WrestleMania match? It's because the Undertaker will lose and this will be his last WrestleMania match. The setting is perfect as it is in his home-state of Texas and he will receive a send off of a life-time. Look for a wild brutal affair and many high spots by Shane McMahon, who will take risk after risk to ensure his own legacy. Look for one of those risks to pay off and McMahon to gain the victory and control of Monday Night Raw. It will be an emotional post-match between the two real-life friends; but, Taker will get the send-off he deserves to close WrestleMania 32 before a highly emotional home-town crowd in Dallas, TX.
