NEWS: Ryback & Colt Cabana Share Awkward Amends

NEWS: Former WWE Superstars Colt Cabana and Ryback were set to square off at WrestlePro's live Orlando, FL WrestleCon event last night when things took a turn toward the bizarre. CM Punk turned the wrestling world upside down when he broke his silence and appeared on his then best friend's podcast: Colt Cabana's Art of Wrestling. It was Punk's very first interview since leaving the WWE on extremely controversial terms. On the show, CM Punk buried Vince McMahon, Triple H, WWE's medical team and Ryback. Punk challenged Ryback's readiness in the ring, called him green, and asserted that Ryback took more than two decades off his own wrestling career. Since that time, a WWE doctor sued both Punk and Cabana, Punk and Cabana had a personal falling out, and Ryback left the WWE. Before Ryback and Cabana finally squared off at WrestleCon, Cabana offered Ryback a handshake. The Big Guy refused and Cabana took to the microphone.

"Are we good? We're cool right? Everything's good? The past it the past? Let's have a fun little wrestling match. We could do a little podcast here. What's your favorite singlet? We can show our nipples at the same time. We good?" Cabana joked, we think.

The crowd erupted in a CM Punk chant. Ryback replied,

"I don't know. Are we good or are you going to be a little bitch and go on your podcast next week and say I took twenty years off your career? Are we good? Find out."

The two then proceeded their match as planned, without any controversy. After the match, a victorious Ryback called Cabana back into the ring and said,

"A few years ago, you allowed CM Punk a platform to say a lot of things about me. I didn't agree with a lot of them. A lot of people did because they don't know. I was mad at you for a long time for allowing it. That negativity ate away at me. It wasn't a good feeling. Tonight felt good. I felt like I needed to get rid of that. I just want to tell you I accept your apology. The past is the past. You're a heck of a fighter. I don't agree with what you did; but, I respect you now."

The two then shared a hand shake and awkwardly took turns raising each other's arms before Cabana exited the ring. Both Cabana and Ryback have podcasts. Cabana's Art of Wrestling is still one of the most popular podcasts in the world of professional wrestling. Ryback's Conversations with the Big Guy is never short on controversy. The wrestling world eagerly awaits what comes next for these two.
