NEWS: WWE's Emma Suffers Ruptured Disc; Will Undergo Surgery
NEWS: WWE Women's Wrestler Emma has suffered a significant back injury. The injury occurred during last night's WWE live event in Charlottesville, VA and after extensive testing that included a reportedly painful MRI, it is now clear that Emma suffered a ruptured disc. The following is a statement from WWE's Doctor Chris Robinson, "Emma has a ruptured disc that will require her to have surgery. She came to us in a great deal of pain, which seemed to be increasing. She was then given an M.R.I., which revealed that further action would need to be taken. Unfortunately, the Superstar’s estimated recovery time cannot be determined until after her procedure is complete." The injury could not have come at a worse time for Emma who was recently called up to the main roster from NXT and thrust in a major storyline against Becky Lynch. WWE was planning on having Emma team with fellow NXT call up Dana Brooke to face off against Becky and a mystery partner; but, those plans have been nixed, as it looks like Emma will be missing a significant amount of time.
